Yamaha R15 became the best-selling motorcycle from Yamaha in September 2021
Yamaha India launched the new Zen R15 last month. India is the first country in the world where the new R15 V4 was launched. Priced at Rs 1.68 lakh, the ex-sh has made it one of the most expensive motorcycles in its segment.
Yamaha R15 sales September 2021 – a new high
Production of the new Yamaha R15 began long before it began. The first camouflage spy shots appeared on the Internet in August 2021 According to September 2021 sales data, the R15 has become the best-selling motorcycle from Yamaha.
The Yamaha R15 sold 11,792 units in September 2021. This is a 151% increase over sales in September 2020, when R15 sales registered less than 4,700 units. The second largest seller from Yamaha motorcycles was the FZ, followed by the MT15 and then the FZ25 in September 2021. Sales of the Yamaha FZ declined sharply in September 2021. This is probably due to a shortage of parts.
In terms of MoM sales, R15 sales increased by about 23%. FZ has also reduced sales here. Yamaha motorcycle sales increased 2.39% compared to August 2021 sales. But decreased by 31.65% compared to September 2020. See the sales table below.
Priced at Rs 1,67,800 and Rs 1,77,800 respectively, the 2021 Yamaha R15 V4 Racing comes in three colors of Blue, Dark Knight and Metallic Red while the Yamaha R15M comes in a metallic gray single color. In addition to these two bikes, Yamaha has also launched the Yamaha R15M Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP version which comes with its own fairing, fuel tank, front moodguard and rear side panel with the branding of the MotoGP.
2021 Yamaha R15 V4 Features
It features single beam LED projector headlamps with LED DRL, standalone body panel, 3D badging on its muscular fuel tank, sporty body graphics and modified fairings, anodized blue fork caps and golden brakes. It also plays a full digital LCD instrument console with Yamaha’s connectivity features and Bluetooth.
The engine specs of the 2021 Yamaha R15 V4 do not see much change. It produces the same 155cc, single cylinder, liquid cooled engine that produces 18.3 hp of power at 10,000 rpm and 14.1 Nm of torque at 7,500 rpm and is combined with a 6-speed gearbox with traction control and quick shifter.
