The new film will have a more affordable premium electric crossover for investors to choose from when the Polstar 4 launches in 2023, published under a dustsheet. The newspaper announced that the company plans to float on Nasdaq.
Investment experts The Gores Group and Guggenheim Capital Polyester have provided funding to take on the public, with a business value of $ 20 billion (15bn). Importantly, the deal will inject funds to accelerate Volvo’s EV offshoot expansion, which includes the Polstar 4 and two more growing models.

Documents shared with investors reveal that the Polestar 4 is predicted to leapfrog in the mid-2s to become the company’s bestseller, with an estimated 79,000 annual sales, a whiskey in front of the liftback saloon.
Globally, the medium-sized premium sport SUV sector is expected to grow by 46% by 2025, making it a paved hunting ground for Polstar and others.
Ingenlath (above) promises that aerodynamics will play a big role in the brand’s SUVs in the future, claiming that the days of big, boxy off-roaders are over.
But each car will come with ‘different sizes and silhouettes, different interiors … and polyster drivetrains, which makes them very powerful.’ The company is developing a 450kW e-motor, as well as hand-off autonomous driving skills in two years.
What else do we know about Polestar 4?
The smaller, more affordable Polestar SUV will maintain the performance drive associated with the brand, although it is based on a different Geely EV architecture, dubbed PMA (made from the Volvo CMA platform). The Polarstar 4 will be built at the Hangzhou Bay factory in China, which is originally owned by Gili, with production scheduled to begin before the end of 2023.
Boss further confirmed that the third new model will, logically, be the Polstar 5, which will be followed by Precept. This means that Polestar will launch a new model every year until 2025, during which time sales will increase tenfold from this year’s output to 290,000 vehicles a year.
