2022 Honda Rebel 250cc is positioned as an entry-level cruiser in the Honda lineup

Honda has removed the covers from its latest cruiser offer Rebel 250. The new Rebel 250 will sit at the bottom of the Japanese brand’s cruiser motorcycle lineup. Other models in this range include the Rebel 300, Rebel 500 and Rebel 1100. The 2022 Rebel 250 is wrapped in a new Pearl Spencer Blue color option in Japan.

However, this paint scheme is reserved for the top-spec Rebel 250S version. The bike is seen wearing a dark blue metallic paint that is prominent in its fuel tank as well as in the rear fender. The rest of the parts, including the motorcycle’s engine and gearbox assembly and hardware setup, have been painted black.

It creates a nice sporty contrast that looks bold and burning

The standard version of the Rebel 250 is still available with a matte gray shade and tan brown seat. Other highlights include a round headlamp, a stubby rear fender and a rounded rearview mirror. No other changes were made to the bike.

Features and Specifications

In terms of features, the new Rebel 250 is equipped with a full LED light with a quad projector headlight and a full digital circular instrument cluster. The suspension duty on the motorcycle is performed by conventional telescopic forks at the front and twin shock absorbers attached to the swingarm at the rear. Braking responsibilities are handled by a single disc brake at both ends with a caliper from Nissin. It is supported by a dual-channel ABS.

The Rebel 250 is a 249cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 25.6 bhp and 22 Nm of peak torque. This motor is combined with a 6-speed gearbox. The Rebel 250 gets a very low seat height of 690mm and a forward-set footpath that provides a very comfortable and comfortable riding posture. The bike weighs 177 kg with tips on the scales.

Rebels in India?

The new Rebel 250 will go on sale in Japan from January 20, 2022 with prices starting at around Rs 4 lakh. This bike is less likely to go ashore in India. However, there are rumors that Honda will bring more premium Rebel 500 to India this year, unfortunately, its launch has been delayed due to the ongoing epidemic.

Honda has succeeded in launching a retro style classic roadster in the form of CB350 rather than offering a single cruiser motorcycle in India. This bike is currently available in two derivatives – H’Ness CB350 and CB350RS. Honda could launch the Rebel range in India under their Bigwing network as a CBU.
